If you experience any difficulty in accessing any part of this website, please feel free to call us at (650) 368-8348 or email us at info@rimortho.com and we will work with you to provide the information or service you seek through an alternate communication method that is accessible for you consistent with applicable law (for example, through telephone support).

Your First Visit

During the initial consultation, we will get to know you and discuss your orthodontic requirements. Every effort is made at our office to cater to your requirements in a timely and concerned manner, and we appreciate your business. Because the health problems of each person are different, they each need individualized care. When children are getting their oral exams, their parents are strongly urged to accompany them.

We will request the following from you:

  • Health History Form (sent prior to your visit via email)
  • Insurance Information

We will collect the following at your appointment:

  • Photos
  • Digital Orthodontic Xrays (as needed)

Dr. Rim will then conduct a thorough examination and summarize the answers to the following questions:

  • Is there an issue with my teeth that requires orthodontic treatment?
  • If so, what is my diagnosis?
  • What are my alternatives for resolving this?
  • When is it appropriate to repair it?
  • How long will it take to correct?

Afterward, our treatment coordinator, Kay, will go through the fees and payment alternatives with you, as well as any insurance coverage you may be eligible for. A follow-up appointment will be scheduled for you to begin the smile makeover.
